Measuring our impact is important. It helps us understand what works and what doesn’t.

At our Annual General Meeting each year, we give an update on how we're tracking against our strategic objectives. To ensure this information is made available to all our stakeholders - not just those who attend the AGM - we also provide this information online.

This year we are providing a reporting suite comprised of our Annual Review and Financial Report.

Improving transparency in non-proft reporting

The national PwC Transparency Awards were introduced to Australia in 2007 as a joint initiative of pricewaterhousecoopers, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Centre for Social Impact. The Benevolent Society participates in the Awards because we believe it is important to continuously improve the standards of financial reporting in the non-profit sector.  In 2008 and 2009 we were placed in the top five finalists and received special commendations for our reporting of volunteers and investments and also for our continued improvement over the past three years.
