Anne Hollonds BA (Psych), BSoc.Stud., MBA: Chief Executive Officer
Anne has spent many years working at Chief Executive level in the non-profit sector. She is well-known as the former CEO of Relationships Australia NSW, a role she held for 13 years. She is on the Board of the Association of Childrens Welfare Agencies and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Family Relationship Services Australia, the national industry body representing 150 community-based organisations across Australia. Anne has qualifications in psychology, social work, and mediation, as well as an MBA, and extensive experience in child and family services, child protection, out-of-home care, community mental health, and tertiary education.

Wendy Haigh CA, AICD : Chief Financial Officer and General Manager Corporate Services
Wendy began her career working for the large accounting firm Price Waterhouse Coopers, initially in Leeds, before moving with them to Australia in 1984. In the mid-90s Wendy moved into the corporate world where she worked for start-up technology companies with a focus on research and innovation. Most recently, Wendy worked for Uniting Care, where she was Interim Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that she spent five years with the Children’s Hospital at Westmead as Director of Finance and Corporate Services.

Annette Michaux BA (Hons), BSocWk (Hons) M Ed: General Manager Social Policy and Research
A social worker and adult educator by training, Annette was previously Executive Officer of the NSW Child Protection Council and in the senior policy team at the NSW Commission for Children and Young People. She is on the Board of the Australasian Evaluation Society, and the Lady Gowrie Child Centre and is a member of Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY), Future Generations – Network Advisory Committee.

Tracey Young BA (Communications) (Hons): Head of Communications
Tracey has more than 15 years experience in a range of communications, media liaison and management roles in local and state government, including the NSW Department of Community Services and the NSW Commission for Children and Young People. She joined The Benevolent Society in 2008 and is also a Director on the Board of the Lady Gowrie Child Centre.

Elaine Leong BA, LLB, BA Comm (Honours), Grad Dip Legal Prac: Company Secretary/General Counsel
Elaine is a solicitor with more than 10 years experience in practising law. Prior to joining The Benevolent Society she established and then led the first in-house pro bono legal team approved under the National Pro Bono PI Insurance Scheme in Australia. She is an active participant in areas of the current reform agenda and assumes a number of roles in forums, advisory panels and committees. Elaine also maintains her own legal practice supporting those who find it difficult accessing or navigating the legal system.

Barbara Squires BSocStud (Hons): General Manager Ageing
Barbara has extensive experience as a social worker with older people. She was a founding member of Alzheimer’s Australia NSW and one of the first employees of the Guardianship Tribunal of NSW. She was National President of the Australian Association of Gerontology (2000-2003) and served on the NSW Ministerial Advisory Committee on Ageing and the Planning for Later Life Forum. She is a Fellow of the Australian Association of Gerontology and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Geoff Aigner MSD, MBA: Director of Social Leadership Australia
Geoff has strategic responsibility for Social Leadership Australia’s purpose of shifting thinking and practice about leadership in Australia. He also consults and teaches on a variety of the centre’s programs and consulting engagements. Geoff joined Social Leadership Australia in 2007 after several years of pro bono work with the team. Prior to joining Social Leadership Australia, he was General Manager at Lee Hecht Harrison, an HR consulting services company. Geoff’s first book, Leadership Beyond Good Intentions: What It Takes to Really Make a Difference, was published by Allen & Unwin in 2011.

Greg Antcliff BA, Dip.Ed, M.Litt (Psych), M Ed: Senior Manager Practice and Research
Greg joined us in 2003 and has extensive experience as a clinician, trainer and senior manager. He is a registered psychologist who has worked with children and families for more than 18 years. In 2007, he was awarded a Churchill fellowship to investigate programs that integrate early learning and care for vulnerable children. He is on the NSW Board of National investment For the Early Years (NIFTey), and the editorial committee of the journal Developing Practice.

Margot Beach Grad Dip (Community and Social Science): Senior Manager Metro Central NSW
Margot joined The Benevolent Society in 2007 as Manager, Child and Family and now manages our Metro Central region. She has worked in a number of management positions in government departments in NSW and Queensland in the field of child protection and disability services.

Jenni Hutchins BA (Welfare Studies), Grad Dip (Child and Family), MAPS, JP: Senior Manager Metro South West and West Sydney
Jenni has a background in psychology and has worked for non-government agencies and government departments in roles covering disability, training, counselling and youth work. She has specialised in child protection for more than 20 years and joined The Benevolent Society in 2001 after working as a Child Protection Specialist with the Department of Community Services.

Linda Livingstone BSocWk, MA International Development: Senior Manager Regional and Rural NSW
Linda has been with The Benevolent Society for two years and brings to our organisation more than 22 years experience of working in both non-government and government agencies. She has enormous expertise in community development,social planning and community service management and delivery, working within Indigenous and refugee communities.

Adrienne O’Brien: Senior Manager Fundraising
After a successful corporate career, Adrienne chose to use her marketing skills in the non-profit sector. As Fundraising Manager at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation she managed branding,funding and donor relationships. Adrienne joined The Benevolent Society as Senior Manager, Fundraising to revitalise the practical and strategic funding model by combining business development and financial growth.

Michael Tizard BA, BSocWk, Post Grad Cert Public Admin: State Manager Queensland
Michael joined The Benevolent Society in 2005 and is now developing our Queensland service portfolio. He has more than 30 years experience as a social worker, working in senior roles in child protection and family support. He has a strong commitment to community consultation and working in partnerships with indigenous organisations and communities. He is President of Peakcare Queensland, the peak body for child and family services and an accredited Executive Coach with The Institute of Executive Coaching.

Andrew Anderson LLB, MSc: Senior Manager, Research and Evaluation
Andrew joined The Benevolent Society in 2007. He has almost nine years experience of undertaking research and evaluation of community services. Andrew began his career in the UK working as a research consultant in the private and not for profit sectors where he established a strong track record of research with socially excluded groups. Andrew is responsible for developing and implementing the organisation’s research and evaluation strategies.
