The Benevolent Society is constantly searching for new solutions to social issues, generating and staying up-to-date with the latest evidence and raising awareness on issues of importance.
The Benevolent Society aims to influence social policy by contributing to public debate on important social issues, working with government and other stakeholders to propose solutions to problems, and conducting campaigns that make the case for change.
Conducting research helps us to expand our knowledge about important areas of social policy and to find better solutions. We do this by researching key issues faced by the people and communities we work with, and the context we work within, and by reflecting on ourselves as an organisation.
Evaluation helps us to establish whether we are delivering services effectively and making a positive difference to people’s lives. It also highlights issues that require systemic or policy change.
